Privacy Policy

RapidBible is built to give you a focused way to read scripture. We don't want your data and we don't collect it. This page explains exactly what that means in practice.

What we do NOT collect

What stays on your device

The following is stored locally on your iPhone and never leaves it:

This data lives in iOS's standard UserDefaults and SwiftData store. Deleting the app removes it.

What goes over the network

When you read a chapter in a translation other than World English Bible, the app requests the passage from bible-api.com, a free public-domain Bible API. The request URL contains the book name, chapter number, and translation code (for example: bible-api.com/Genesis 1?translation=kjv).

We send no identifiers with that request. bible-api.com is operated by Tim Morgan; their privacy practices are governed by their terms at bible-api.com.

The World English Bible is bundled with the app and reads from your device's storage, so it never makes a network request and works fully offline.

Children's privacy

RapidBible is rated 4+. Because we collect no personal information, we comply with COPPA by design: there's nothing to collect from a child user.

Apple App Store privacy nutrition label

Across every Apple-defined data category — Contact Info, Health & Fitness, Financial Info, Location, Sensitive Info, Contacts, User Content, Browsing History, Search History, Identifiers, Purchases, Usage Data, Diagnostics, Other — the label is "Data Not Collected".

Changes to this policy

If we ever add a feature that would change the answers above (for example, optional iCloud sync or an opt-in donation flow), this page will be updated and a note will appear in the app's About sheet before that feature ships.
